Playtech has revealed via Veikkaus, the state-owned monopoly operator of Finland, the introduction of its live casino offering in that country.
Building on their pre-existing cooperation arrangement, which has seen regulatory approval and complete integration of Playtech's live games to the Veikkaus platform, the two companies want to expand. Following their February partnership, the pair's combined operations in Finland now cover online poker and casino, VLT machines and a casino management system. This new agreement makes Playtech Veikkaus the first live casino supplier.
For Playtech, November was a busy month as the provider revealed the extension of their cooperation with Continent 8 Technologies, a joint venture started twenty years ago. Following this announcement came the revelation of a new mobile sportsbook and casino arrangement signed between Delaware North and the firm. Playtech also extended its pre-existing relationship with Bar One Racing last week.
Commenting on this most recent agreement, Fredrik Sylvander, Playtech Commercial Director, said: "We are happy to have finished the launch with Veikkaus, therefore marking a major turning point in our fruitful cooperation. Using our modern studio and exclusive game releases, we take great satisfaction in helping Veikkaus provide a superior live gaming experience.
Using our experience and industry knowledge, we have created a customised Live offering specifically for the Finnish market that offers an unmatched gaming experience for Veikkaus's patrons. Starting this new chapter and ongoing helping Veikkaus realise their ambition in live casino excites us.
For Veikkaus, this most recent update follows a contract that saw the company introduce Greentube to the Finnish market. Veikkaus was also fined €2.9 million last month over national advertising violations.
